A large vintage rug in deep violet-purple, with a faded floral pattern as a structure beneath the colour. The detailed photo shows how fine this pattern still is: leafy tendrils and rosettes that extend across the entire surface and only reveal from up close how densely knotted it is.
The colour is saturated but not flat. Where the wool has been most trodden, the purple becomes lighter and leans towards pink; in the corners, it remains deep and almost indigo. This movement makes the rug look different in the morning than in lamplight.
It was hand-knotted decades ago in Turkey, made of wool on a cotton warp, used for years, and then washed and overdyed. The pile has been shorn low.
Measuring 280 by 165 centimetres, it fills a seating area or a dining area for four. Against white stucco and dark leather, this purple becomes almost theatrical.

All items purchased from us come with a 6-month warranty, starting from the date you received the order.
Do you have a problem with the rug? Please contact us. You can send the product to us so that we can assess it and repair or have the product repaired, replace the product, or refund the costs. If it appears that the damage was caused by misuse by the customer, the costs for any repair will be borne by the customer.
If it turns out that the damage is indeed covered by the warranty, we will also reimburse any shipping costs afterwards.
